GKE is introducing the following changes to expand the capabilities of maintenance exclusions:

• Per-node pool maintenance exclusions: Available in release channels, these replicate the functionality of disabling node pool auto-upgrades when your cluster isn't enrolled in a release channel. • Extended "No upgrades" exclusion: The "No upgrades" default maintenance exclusion can now be up to 90 days long.
